Institute of Philosophy

This is the homepage of the International Programme of the Institute of Philosophy, an independent faculty of KU Leuven. We offer a comprehensive set of programmes in philosophy, the goal of which is to familiarise students with the historical traditions of philosophy as well as with major contemporary movements. A distinguished faculty of thirty scholars teach a wide variety of challenging courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Research and Doctoral Studies

Research at the Institute of Philosophy is organised through five research centres. With some 30 full-time teaching staff, nearly 130 adjunct faculty members, post-docs and doctoral students, the Institute of Philosophy is among the largest research groups in philosophy on the continent.
