Research Centres
Research at the Institute of Philosophy is organised through 5 centres:
- Centre for Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy
- Centre for Logic and Analytical Philosophy
- Centre for Metaphysics and Philosophy of Culture
- De Wulf-Mansion Centre for Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy
- Husserl-Archives: Centre for Phenomenology and Continental Philosophy
Each centre coordinates the research activities of its participants and organises activities such as evening lectures, seminars, etc., involving other interested persons, such as doctoral students and visiting researchers.
Ranking of Philosophical Journals
The comparative scientific value of journal publications has been listed here (xls, 49 kB) (A= highest marking, C= lowest marking). This ranking was approved by the assessment committee of the Institute of Philosophy in March 2008, taking into account both the European Reference Index for the Humanities and additions or improvements to the ERI suggested by the various research centres of the Institute. The list exclusively contains strictly philosophical journals and is updated on a regular basis.
