The Husserl-Archives are open all year long to all scholars interested in phenomenological research. We do require announcement of upcoming visits since working space in the Archives is limited. All visitors have to apply by submitting a form, which has to be signed by the director of the Archives, Prof. Melle, and the dean of our Faculty, Prof. Vandevelde. This form is then submitted to the International Office of the University, which, upon arrival in Leuven, will provide the necessary documents for access to the university libraries, internet, e-mail etc.

Visitors are welcome to consult Husserl's library and unpublished material that is availabe in the form of transcriptions. These transcriptions may be studied, but they cannot be taken out of the Archives or copied. For quotations of unpublished material the permission of the director of the Archives is required.
