Fourth Conference of the Dutch-Flemish Association for Analytic Philosophy (VAF IV)

The Dutch-Flemish Association for Analytic Philosophy organizes its Fourth Conference from Wednesday January 20 (1.30 pm) till Friday January 22 (4 pm) 2010.
This year’s topic will be
Epistemology and Philosophy of Mind at The Crossroads
Keynote speakers are John Campbell (Berkeley) and Elisabeth Fricker (Oxford).

A limited selection of the papers presented at the VAF Conference will be published in Logique et Analyse, autumn 2010.
Participation Fee (to be paid at the Conference): 50 Euro (includes conference program, coffee during breaks, reception, etc.). Conference Dinner: Thursday January 21.
* The Dutch-Flemish Association for Analytic Philosophy (‘Vereniging voor Analytische Filosofie’) was founded in 2006 in Amsterdam. Since then, three highly successful international conferences and numerous workshops under VAF-auspices were organized in Flanders (the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium) and the Netherlands. The VAF is an institutional member of the European Society for Analytic Philosophy (ESAP). The first VAF Conference took place at the Free University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), keynote Speaker: Timothy Williamson (Oxford). (40 participants, 20 speakers). The second VAF Conference took place in 2007 at the University of Antwerp (55 participants, 25 speakers from across Europe). The third VAF conference took place in January 2009 at Tilburg University and was attended by more than 100 speakers and participants.
Accommodation: more information about staying in Leuven (one of Flanders’s most beautiful cities) can be found here. The conference organizers do not book hotels or make travel arrangements.
