Activiteiten - Activities
- In de reeks Lessen voor de 21ste eeuw spreekt prof. dr. Eric Van den Bulck op maandag 20 februari over Energie en maatschappij. De juiste wagen.
- On Tuesday, 28 February, prof. dr. Philippe Van Parijs (UCLouvain & University of Oxford) will give a lecture & public interview at the Beursschouwburg (Brussels) on Linguistic Justice for Europe and for the World.
- Op donderdag 8 maart vindt in het Provinciehuis van Leuven een interactieve bijeenkomst plaats in het kader van de internationale vrouwendag: Voorbij allochtoon zijn, ook vrouw zijn. Over de emancipatie van de allochtone vrouw; verleden - heden- toekomst.
- On Wednesday 23 May, Prof. dr. Dmitri Nikulin (New School for Social Research, NY) will give a lecture in Room N (4 - 6 pm) on Recovering a Voice in History: A Critique of Rancière. Response by Matthias Lievens (Institute of Philosophy, KU Leuven).
Vacatures en beurzen - Job Offers and Scholarships
Elk jaar ontvangen een aantal Vlaamse universiteitsstudenten een beurs van het Collegio dei Fiamminghi om gedurende één academiejaar in Bologna (Italië) te studeren of onderzoek te verrichten. De beurs bestaat uit een gratis verblijf van 8 maanden in het prachtige college in het centrum van Bologna en een toelage van +/- 7.000 euro. Kennis van de Italiaanse taal is een vereiste. Deadline voor het indienen van aanvraagdossiers is woensdag 11 april.
Call for Papers
There is a call for papers for the upcoming international workshop Beauty: Commons vs. Contests that UCSIA organises on 24-26 October 2012 at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. The deadline for submitting an application is Sunday 13 May 2012.
