Doctoral studies at the Institute of Philosophy
If you are passionate about scientific research, you can possibly start a PhD after your studies. A PhD offers you the opportunity to focus intensively on one specific scientific problem for several years and to fully develop your talents and skills.
The Institute of Philosophy has approximately 100 PhD students who prepare dissertations on the most diverse subjects in philosophy and some 40 professors with various areas of expertise. At this Institute you will do your PhD in one of the largest research groups in the field of philosophy in Belgium and the Netherlands and in a very international environment: approximately 70% of the Institute’s doctoral students are international students hailing from more than 30 different countries.
